YOUR SOLAR QUESTIONS

Clarity looks
good on solar.

The first questions deserve useful answers. Start here, then bring the details of your place to a conversation.

Getting started

Is my roof suitable for solar?

Roof direction, shading, usable area, condition and structure all affect suitability. A ground-level description or photo can start the discussion, but a website cannot confirm the roof or electrical design. Send the property location and context, then ask what assessment is appropriate.

Does solar work when it’s cloudy?

Photovoltaic panels use daylight and can generate in cloudy conditions. The amount varies with available light, the season and the system. Expected generation should be explained for the proposed location and design, rather than borrowed from a different property.

Can I ask before I know what I need?

Yes. Tell Renewagreen about the place, how it is used and the questions you have. You do not need to choose equipment first. Ask the company to confirm whether the enquiry fits its scope and what information would help next.

Storage and everyday use

Do I have to add a battery?

No. Solar and battery storage are separate choices. A compatible battery can store electricity for another time, but suitability depends on available generation, demand, equipment compatibility, space and cost. A complete comparison should explain the case with and without storage.

Will solar or a battery keep power on during an outage?

Not automatically. Standard grid-connected solar is not a promise of backup electricity. Any backup function requires suitable equipment and an agreed design. Ask which circuits, conditions and limitations apply to a particular proposal.

Can storage be added to an existing system?

It may be possible, but compatibility must be checked. Gather the panel, inverter and existing system details you have, including relevant warranties. Explain your aims and ask whether the proposed addition can be assessed; this website does not certify compatibility.

Planning the next step

How much will a project cost?

Cost depends on the property, equipment, access, electrical work and the agreed scope. This website gives no fixed prices, finance offer or automatic quotation. Ask for a written proposal that makes included work, exclusions, payment terms and any assumptions clear.

Do I need permissions or network arrangements?

Requirements depend on the property, location and proposed work. Discuss planning, building, ownership and electricity-network responsibilities with the appropriate parties. Ask who will check, arrange and document each requirement. General information is not approval for your particular project.

Where does Renewagreen work?

The supplied company address is in Great Barr, Birmingham. A service radius is not stated on this website. Include the project town or postcode and ask Renewagreen to confirm scope, location suitability and availability directly.

Has my enquiry been sent through the form?

No. The contact tool prepares a draft in your browser and then opens your own email application. Review the recipient and message, and press Send in that application when ready. Copy and download options are available if an email app is not configured.
